Deportivo La Coruna battled to a 0-0 draw against Fc Barcelona. Deportivo started brightly and created their first opportunity only three minutes into the game.
Lassad Nouioui took advantage of some hesitant defending by Marc Bartra, sending a decent shot from outside the box with Victor Valdes off his line, forcing the goalkeeper to pull off a tremendous save to deny the striker.
Fc Barcelona started to grow in confidence were soon dominating possession in their trademark style.
Ibrahim Afellay fired a warning shot with half hour on the clock, and Jeffren had the fans on their feet shortly after as he saw a great finish from the centre of the box miss narrowly to the left.
Marc Bartra and Ibrahim Afellay then went close for the Catalans as the first half was drawing to an end, but were ultimately unable to beat Deportivo keeper Daniel Aranzubia.
